Students of class 4 or higher get to choose one sport for the Term. Lower grade kids are guided to several sports until they find their preferred sport.
Nalanda’s has one of the best training methodologies for our cricket. This is visible in our consistent performance by our school teams. South Indian cricket winners conducted by TMCC in Chennai. In 2017 our team won State level tournaments, District-level tournaments, and runner-up in the south zone, Winners in KDCA Cricket League, Central Zone Cricket Tournament Conducted by Andhra Cricket Association and won 5th Open All India Cricket Gold Cup

• M. Laxmi Geethika of class V secured 50 mts Free Style and 50 mts Breast Stroke respectively in the III A.P Sub-Junior and Junior Inter District Aquantic Championship 2017-18
