Late I V Kameswara Rao

Late I V Kameswara Rao began as an MA post-graduate from Andhra University and a long and fruitful time in education made him the president of the Nalanda Academy of Sciences. A vibrant voice that stood out in debates at inter-university competitions, later became the voice of learning in 1956 at the Andhra Loyola College Visakhapatnam and rang its corridors till 1988. Being into the profession of teaching, he was committed to the benefits of the students and his dynamic personality inspired many young souls. He was a person of rational living and high thinking, and Nalanda stands as living testimony for his commitment and ideology.

Late Sri K Basava Purnaiah

A son of a farmer with an accomplished academic records, then a physics lecturer at the Andhra Loyola College for 30 years and finally one among the four founders of Nalanda. Hailing from Guntur, Sri K Basava Purnaiah is a personality of depth with an ever smiling face and infinite dynamism. His futuristic thinking and ideology have formed the basis of the Nalanda monolith. Predicting the future changes in the education system, he strived to give the future generations the best education with values and became one of the four visionaries of Nalanda.
An iconic personality of hard work and self reliance with never-ending spirit and confidence, he rose to great heights overcoming the barriers of being from a rural background. He completed his post-graduation in Physics from Andhra University and left Andhra Loyola College in 1988 after years of service to join Nalanda. With a wish to serve the society and believing that giving it good education is one of the best ways, Rambabu garu rendered his services to Nalanda.

A Vijaya Babu

A. Vijaya Babu, Commerce post graduate from Kanpur University is the administrator of Nalanda Educational Institutions as the Correspondent. He spent almost a decade in Algeria on a teaching assignment. Correspondent Sri Vijaya Babu is on the Board of Directors as an executive member of the Sai Sudhir Educational Society Hyderabad, which imparts instruction in the Sciences and Arts up to Post Graduate levels. At Nalanda, Sri Vijaya Babu acts as a bridge between the Management and the students.

Forerunner of the ideology and philosophy of the four visionaries of Nalanda, Vijaya Babu Garu, under his administration as a correspondent, built Nalanda from Play School to PG College. His planning, decision making and futuristic thoughts resulted in the perfect execution the ideology and his role is prominent in every milestone of Nalanda.

Late A V Subba Rao

A post graduate in chemistry from Bhopal University, he pursued his education at Hindu College, Machilipatnam and A C College, Guntur. After a long time serving as a Chemistry lecturer, he is affectionately tributed by students and fellow lecturers as Organic Subba Rao. To make his dream come true of providing quality education he joined hands with the founders of Nalanda as a Director and also founded the Sai Sudhir Educational Society in Hyderabad. The treasure of knowledge and a great teacher, through his experience as a teacher he made Nalanda a benchmark of the best in education. His excellent administrative abilities allowed him to guide Nalanda towards excellence for 25 long years being a strong pole in administration.

K Rambabu
