Sports

There are a variety of Sports for students to join throughout the year.

Students of class 4 or higher get to choose one sport for the Term. Lower grade kids are guided to several sports until they find their preferred sport.

Cricket

Nalanda’s has one of the best training methodologies for our cricket. This is visible in our consistent performance by our school teams. In 2017 our team won State level tournaments,   District-level tournaments, and runner-up in the south zone, Winners in KDCA Cricket League, Central Zone Cricket Tournament Conducted by Andhra Cricket Association and won 5th Open All India Cricket Gold Cup

Football

• The school team won second place in under 19 boys Basket Ball Tournament conducted by Gurukul International School 2017-18

Taekwondo

• K. Pratyush Raj of XI-A secured First Place in State School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh.
• B. Tanisi Sai of Class III A secured First position in 4th students Olympic District Games Karate under 10 kumite 2017-18
• B. Tansi Sai of Class III A secured III place in
– A.P. State Invitational Karate championship -2018
– 4th students Olympic State Games – 2017-18

Swimming (Comming Soon)

• M. Laxmi Geethika of class V secured 50 mts Free Style and 50 mts Breast Stroke respectively in the III A.P Sub-Junior and Junior Inter District Aquantic Championship 2017-18
• B. Jignesh of Class V secured I in 18th Krishna River Swimming Competition. He also too part in 1st All India Inter Club Swimming Competition-2017 and 3rd AP Sub-Junior & Inter District Aquatic Championship -2017.

Track and Field

Vijayawada Rotary Club conducted Various competition in 2017-18. Nalandans brought home many laurels which include:
• First place in 100 mts running – under 14, under 16 category.
• First place in 200 mts running – under 14, under 16 category.
• First place in shotput – under 14, under 18 boys category.
